Now why is there a complete page devoted to Breakfast? Well, as the saying goes ‘Breakfast is the most important meal of the day’.
Breakfast is served on the upper verandah of the main house, from where you can enjoy a great view of the lush tropical Licuala Lodge garden. If you care to read our reviews on TRIPADVISOR, then you will know the reason for this page. Not only is the breakfast a culinary delight, but it also gives all our guests the chance to meet each other at the table. A perfect way to start the day.
The fruit salad is lovingly prepared by Sue in the morning so it really is fresh. What does Sue put in her fruit salads ?
Mango, melon, pawpaw, seedless grapes, strawberries, banana, kiwi, plum, apple, pear, grapefruit, pineapple, dragon-fruit, passion-fruit to name but a few. All the fruit is grown locally (in fact most of the pawpaw, pineapple, passion-fruit and dragon-fruit come straight from our garden), and as such is seasonal (for instance mango season is November till April), so you won’t always get all of the above, but pretty much most of it.
Always a couple of cereals. We also have gluten-free cereals, bread and cakes.
Sue bakes all our bread, and all our cakes – you lucky people!
So all of this adds up to the yummiest breakfast in Queensland – and you can have as much as you want.
Breakfast is in the morning (would you believe it) from 7:30 am to 9:00am. If you have to get out of bed early (eg to go White Water Rafting), then just let us know the night before, and you can have an earlier breakfast with pleasure.
